OneList is made up of two main micro-apps; MyRequests and MyApprovals. My Requests is the app that allows users to initiate requests and seek approval.
What are the benefits of MyRequests?
- MyRequests is easy and intuitive, allowing users to simply complete forms and initiate requests quickly.
- MyRequests is highly customisable and can be easily adapted to suit one’s needs.
- MyRequests requires complete information, users are able to add attachments and custom descriptions that help to aid the decision making process.
- MyRequests is highly dynamic. Upon completing the form, MyRequests automatically sends your request to the correct place depending upon various inputs such as expense type. This can be customised in the included Approval Matrix which defines who has authority to accept what request based on a number of categories including price, location, business entity and MyRequest categories.
Let’s see MyRequests in action!
Filling out the request is easy. The user must launch OneList and then click on ‘New Request’.
Fill out the form and click submit.
Once submitted, the request will show up in the ‘My Request’ tab.
The request will then be processed in MyApprovals where management will have the ability to approve, reject or delegate.
Managers can then accept or deny any of the requests that are now displaying in their MyApprovals component. All relevant information is displayed, including an attachment.
A valuable audit trail is then available to help inform the decision maker, and show the user comments that may have been made by the approver.
Setting up MyRequests is easy and intuitive too.
How does it work? The process begins with an administrator defining the relevant purpose categories and subcategories that are tailored to their business.
Sub Categories are then added to categories so they can be easily found by the user.
An approval matrix defines who has authority to approve certain user requests based upon category and sub category.
This can be easily added back into the MyRequests portal.
Users filling out the form to request approval will now find the ‘Travel Expense’ sub category under ‘Expense Claim’ category.
